Furniture is not a parcel. It is heavy, it is awkward through a doorway, and it usually cannot be left with a neighbour. This page explains how we get it to you, what we need from you, and what to do on the day.
Where we deliver
We deliver across India only. We do not currently ship outside India.
Some pin codes are harder to reach than others, and a small number are not serviceable. Serviceability is checked against your pin code when you place your order, and an order cannot be completed for a pin code we are unable to deliver to. If a problem emerges after an order is placed, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Delivery timeline
Estimated delivery
Within 14 working days of order confirmation. Working days exclude Sundays and public holidays.
Dispatch
10–12 days from order confirmation, after which the piece is handed to our logistics partners for delivery.
Customised orders
Made-to-order pieces run to their own timeline, agreed with you in writing before we begin. See Customisation.
Orders with more than one piece. Where an order contains several items, they may be shipped together or separately. Tell us what suits you and we will arrange delivery accordingly.
Delivery charges
Shipping is free on all orders. There is no delivery charge, no minimum order value to qualify, and no regional or size-based surcharge. Nothing is added at checkout or afterwards.
Tracking your order
We confirm your order by email when it is placed, and we will keep you updated as it moves. Our logistics partners typically call ahead to agree a delivery window, so please give a phone number you will answer.
What we need from you
Large furniture arrives on a vehicle and has to get from that vehicle into your room. A few things make the difference between a delivery that works and one that does not:
- Measure the route, not just the room. Doorways, stairwells, turns on a landing, lift dimensions and lift door width all matter. A piece that fits your room perfectly can still fail at the second-floor turn.
- Tell us about access limits in advance — no lift, narrow stairs, a service lift with restricted hours, gated-community rules, restricted vehicle access or a delivery time window imposed by your building.
- Someone over 18 must be present to receive and sign for the delivery.
- Clear the space and the path to it before the team arrives.
If a piece physically cannot be carried into your home because of access we were not told about, the delivery counts as a failed attempt. Please raise anything unusual with us before you order — we would much rather solve it in advance.
Assembly and installation
Some pieces arrive fully assembled; others are delivered knocked down and need putting together. Where the maker has told us, the product page says which.
HomeCrest does not offer an assembly or installation service. Where a piece is delivered knocked down, assembly is the customer's responsibility, and the supplied instructions should be followed. Damage caused by assembly not carried out to those instructions is not covered by the warranty.
Inspect your delivery before you sign
This is the single most useful thing you can do. Please open the packaging and look at the piece while the delivery team is still with you.
- Check the outer packaging for crushing, tears or water marks.
- Unwrap and check the piece itself — surfaces, edges, corners, legs, glass and mirror.
- Check it is the right product, the right finish and the right variant.
- Photograph anything that looks wrong, including the packaging, before it is taken away.
- If there is visible damage, note it on the delivery document before signing, and contact us the same day.
Reporting damage at the point of delivery, with photographs, makes a claim straightforward. See Returns & Refunds for what happens next.
Where damage or a shortage is only discovered after the delivery team has left, it must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery, with photographs.
If a delivery cannot be completed
A delivery may fail because nobody is available at the agreed time, the address or phone number is wrong, access is not possible, or entry is refused by the building.
We will contact you to arrange another attempt, and a re-attempt is made at no extra cost to you. Where a delivery cannot be completed after repeated attempts, we will contact you to agree what happens to the order.
Delays
Occasionally a delivery runs late — weather, transport disruption, a regional restriction, or a fault found during our own final check. If your order is going to miss its estimate we will tell you and give you a revised date. Estimated timelines are estimates, not guarantees, and are measured in working days.
Not sure it will fit?
Send us your doorway, stairwell or lift measurements before you order and we will tell you honestly whether the piece will make it in.
