Isla solves the hallway problem without filling the hallway. Two drawers in a shallow apron take keys, post and the things that otherwise collect on a windowsill, and below them there is nothing at all - four splayed legs, and the floor running straight underneath.

That openness is what makes a narrow corridor still feel like one. The drawer fronts are set with woven cane and finished with small round gold-toned knobs, which is the only ornament on the piece. Offered dark in Black or pale in Natural, at the same price.
